Now today we can talk about your self esteem and why it is important that you believe in yourself. Here are some ways to drive yourself into become the you, you want to be!
  • Recognize- Embrace your positive side. Make a list of all your skills, experiences, connection, talents, and anything else that makes you feel good. Add any type of compliment that others have given you, they wouldn't have said it if they were lying. Reminding yourself of all your assets is a sure confidence booster.
  • Be curious- When you are stuck in fear you are closed up. You tend to create barriers between you and others. When you shift to being curious your view or the world just opens up. Curiosity is filled with anticipation and enthusiasm. And when you are open with enthusiasm you have more fun things to think about than focusing on your fear. How do you become more curious? One way is to remember how life has become more fun in the past thanks to your curiosity and to remember all the cool things it made you experience.
  • Failure will not kill you- Youhave to face your fear. Because it is only when you discover the thing that billions of people have discovered before you. Failure won’t kill you, nor will being wrong. The sky won't fall. That’s just what people who haven’t faced their fear think. The thing is to not make failure something that makes your legs shake, its to use it, make it important for the growth of your self confidence, and your overall growth as a human being. Now some quotes. :)
“Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.” -Peter T. Mcintyre
“I quit being afraid when my first venture failed and the sky didn’t fall down.” -Allen H. Neuhart

  • Focus on contribution- Most of the time we get caught up in ourselves. We focus too much on what we want and not enough on the needs of other people. If you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on making to the rest of the world, you won’t worry as much about you own flaws. This will increase confidence. The more you contribute to the world the more you’ll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.

So what are a couple of things that people with healthy self-esteems do?
  • Socialize- They don't mind talking to others. Making up discussions to talk about. Not to make things awkward if they can. Getting out of the comfort zone without worring about what others think of them.
  • Try- People with a good self-esteem will be couragous and try to do things they haven't or are unsure about. There is an obvious difference between bad decisions and good ones, but you get the point, hahahah.
